She joined the psychiatry team at Nair's Hospital in February 2003 as a Consultant Psychiatrist and has since become an essential cog in the hospital's operation. Adult psychiatry, psychotherapy, premarital counselling, and social psychiatry are among her primary interests.


Joseph Philipose Paruvanany

 

Mr. Joseph Philipose Paruvanany (Born in 05th March 1934 – Till Date) was an Academician and Administration Professional. He was one of the best teachers at St. George's High School in Koottickal, where he taught Chemistry. In addition to being an excellent teacher, he is well-known for his administrative abilities. Students, College faculty, and the local population address him as "Paruvanicakal Sir," which translates as "Academician from the Paruvanany Family."

Sr. Benizy Paruvanany was professed as a catholic nun on 16th September 1976 in SMS (Snehagiri Missionary Sisters) Family. She started her Missionary career as a Social Worker at Nirmala Bhavan, Poovathilappu. She served there till 1977, moved Anandha Bhavan, Palai as Missionary sister. 

She took in charge as Mission sister at Raksha Bhavan, Charitable Old Age Home, Maniyankulam in 1981 and continued till 1983. The congregation gave another mission to continue social work courses and practice at Santhi Nilayam Old Age Home, Enthayar and she served as Mission-in-charge till 1987. She took a break and pursued theology course in 1987-1988 period at Mount Carmel Generalate CMC, Alwaye.

Sr. Benizy returned to Snehalayam, Palai as Mission-in-Charge to serve Paliative care to Physically challenged inmates in 1989, served till 1993. She moved to Amalagiri Convent, Moolamattom as Mission-in-Charge and served the inmates till 1996. The congregation gave another mission to continue social work at Maria Bhavan Convent, Mutholapuram in the same year, served till 1999. She returned to SMS Generalate in 2000, continued as Mission-in-charge for another year.

The next assignment was to look after Santhinilayam, Charitable Old Age Home at Enthayar, Idukki in 2002 and administered till 2004. From 2004 to 2008, she served as Mission-in Charge at Snehasadan Convent Mundankunnu, 2008-2011, served at Sehagiri Mission Convent, Periyappuram and from 2012 t0 2014, served at Provincial House, Karakkattmala.

She was retired from Missionary Social work in 2014, returned to Snehalayam, Palai and continuing Spiritual guidance and formation to young sisters.

Sr. Annie Paruvanany

Sr. Annie Paruvanany (Born in 17th December 1948 – Till Date) is a Catholic Nun, Missionary and Academician. She is a Community Sister at several Syro-Malabar Missions and Institutions. She is well-known for her contributions to community development, spiritual guidance, and counselling services, in addition to being an outstanding teacher. She is affectionately referred to as "Aniyamma Teacher" by students and acquaintances.

Sr. Annie Paruvanany became a Catholic nun on April 5, 1972, in the FCC (FRANCISCAN CLARIST CONGREGATION) Family. She began her academic and missionary career at Mount Assisi School in Bhagalpul, Bihar. She worked there until 1976, when she transferred to St. George Higher Secondary School Kattappana as a Mathematics and English teacher, where she stayed until 1984. She was appointed as Senior Academician at St. Joseph's. High school -Chinnar, Idukki in 1984 and served till 1986. 

She took in charge as Senior Academician at St. George’s High School – Mukkulam in 1986 and continued till 1986. The congregation gave another mission to continue teaching at Fathima Matha High School Mlamala, Idukki in 1986 and she served till 1990, taught English & Mathematics to students. Fr. Jose Varkey Paruvanany was a well-known athlete during his theological seminary days before being ordained as a priest on April 24, 1972. He began his academic career as a Demonstrator at Carmel Polytechnical College, where he taught students about Electrical Engineering. Because of his expertise and entertaining teaching style, students and faculty gave him the nickname "Current Achan," which translates to "Teacher of Electricity." He studied electrical engineering at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, USA, and returned to India in 1980. 

He started as an Assistant Lecturer in Electrical Engineering at Carmel Polytechnic College and stayed until 1996. He was, however, appointed as Principal of the Industrial Training College (ITC), Amanakara, where he served until 2001. Another mission was given by the church to perform pastoral work at St. Patrick Church in Gainesville, Florida. He worked as an Assistant Vicar before returning to India in 2006 to supervise maintenance activities such as electrical and plumbing at various institutions in the Kottayam province.
 

Fr. Philip Chacko Paruvanany

 

Philip Chacko Paruvanany (Born in 01th December 1981 – Till Date) is a Catholic parish priest, Missionary and Social worker. He is one of the famous church missionaries in Syro Malabar Missions in the state of Bihar & Jharkhand. Besides being an outstanding social worker, he has been known for his contribution in community development and being an Academician who taught English as subject.

Philip Chacko Paruvanany was ordained as a Catholic priest on December 17, 1981, and began his career as a Parish priest and Social Worker at St. Paul's Catholic Ashram & Church in Garhwa, Jharkhand, where he remained until 1988.  In 1988, he was appointed as Headmaster and Academician at St. Stanislaus High School in Gokhla (Bhagalpur), Bihar, where he taught English until 1995. He then transferred to St. Francis Church in Gokhla (Bhagalpur), Bihar, where he served as Parish Priest until 1997.

He was appointed as Parish Priest in 1998 at Poreyahat and continued his pastoral service till 2000. In 2001, he was called to serve as Parish Priest at St. Francis Church Kanjwe, Dumka District in Jharkhand, continued till2005. He moved back to southern India in 2006 as Rector at Assisi Bhavan, TOR Provincialate and served for two years. In 2007, he was called to Northern India Missions, appointed as Parish Priest and Mission-in-Charge at Poreyahat, Dumka Diocese, and continues his mission duties for two years. He became Parish Priest & Superior at Poreyahat, Dumka Diocese in 2008, then continued Church Missions till the end of year, 2012.

Father was called to Take over Mission and served as Parish Priest & Mission-in-Charge at St Elizabeth Church, Kathibari, Godda District, Jharkhand in 2012 and completed assignment till 2014. He then moved to St. Francis Church, Gokhla, Bhagalpur as Parish Priest & Superior till 2022. Currently he is appointed as Parish Priest & Mission-in-Charge at Hansdiha, Dumka, Jharkhand.

Rev. Fr. George Paruvanany

Fr. George Paruvanany (March 8, 1928 – January 12, 1986) was a Catholic Parish priest, Community Leader, and Social Worker from Karinilam, Mundakkayam, Kottayam District, Kerala. He has been recognised for his contributions to Christian Community Development as well as his leadership abilities. He was called ‘Valiachan’ in family circles and in the region.


Life & Career: 

Fr. George Paruvanany was ordained a Catholic priest on March 16, 1956, in the VC (Vincentian Congregation) Family of the Kanjirapally Diocese.

He began her career at St. Mary's Church Thekkemala as an Assistant Vicar & Community Leader. He served in a number of parish churches in the Syro Malabar Church, including St. George Church Mukkulam, St. George Church Marykulam, St. George Forane Church Kattappana, St. Joseph's Church Kunnumbhagam, St. Mary's Church Eravuchira, St. George Church Thottackad, St. John Baptist Church Kottangal, Manimala, and others.

He was an active participant in several church community development programmes. His leadership abilities and expertise aided the Syro Malabar church in expanding its presence in the Malankara Nasrani community.

Engaged in Jesuit Missionary & Social Work for the last 50 years in the state of Odisha, India. The numerous tribal model villages where people live   in unity and harmony. He is a PhD holder in Social Sciences, He worked in Germany and experienced in Mass Communication and Community Development. Fr.
